Coming soon to the Amish Door Village will be the Amish Door Farms, 12 acres of farmland for growing and selling fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers, all natural and free from chemicals.
The Farms also house a 6,000-square-foot barn, where produce will be sold and educational seminars and classes on the nutritional benefits of foods grown without the use of chemicals can be held.
Located adjacent to the Hasseman House Bed & Breakfast and across the street from the main Amish Door campus, the Amish Door Farms are expected to open to the public in the summer of 2011.
Local growers interested in retailing products at the Amish Door Farms are encouraged to contact Amish Door for more information.
